NP 0-6-0 number 924 (Rogers, 1899) steamed for the public for the first time at Snoqualmie, WA for their "railroad days" event.
She needs more work and some paint, but she seems to be steaming pretty well today.
I took these shots there this morning:

Nice photos, Lee. Thanks for sharing. I was there, too, with my son. Sorry I missed you!

Sorry, flickr won't let you select actual image links to post on a forum through a cell phone, and it won't let me directly upload any of them as image attachments on this forum...

David, Here is a (relatively small) 800x533 pixel version of photo #1 in p51's post.

Fabulous photo! And of a size that downloads in a little under 5 minutes for me--perfect!
I see they still have some piston packing issues, but she looks good.
THANK YOU!

Nice headlight. Always nice to see a pre-1900 steam locomotive restored.

Nice headlight.
It's LED. It looked sort of odd.
Here are the photos I took, now that I have gotten to a real computer:

FYI, No photoshop was used in this photo, I didn't even crop it:

The box housing looks a little odd, not having a provision for the chimney for the lamp. Using a LED makes sense as far as reliability.

I talked with one of the guys about that headlight. It is a temporary mock-up required to satisfy the FRA so they could make their test runs over crossings, and prove their LED concept. A period-correct headlight is being manufactured which will also be LED.
