And the 2839, working its last days at Toronto, 1960. Now displayed in California at an auto museum.

2839 is a ROYAL Hudson. 2816 is just a plain old Hudson. 2800 to 2819 where built in 1929 and 1930 as non streamlined locomotives. 2820 to 2864 where built in '37, '39 & 1940 as semi-streamlined engines, and were dubbed 'Royal Hudsons' after the 1939 Royal tour. Although they were basically the same engine that shared many of the same parts, they were not built exactly the same.
