I had several inquiries come in recently for specific EMD Parts Books for certain older locomotives.

For information, early EMD locomotives through the 1950s generally had their own specific parts books until many of these were combined into EMD Parts Catalog 90 covering carbody and electrical parts for locomotives with 567 engines. The individual model parts books have been unavailable for many years, they survive where and when you can find them. Catalog 90 replaced all of them. The companion 567 locomotive engine parts book is Catalog 301.

EMD Parts Catalog 190 covers carbody and electrical parts for locomotives with 645 engines. The companion 645 engine parts book is Catalog 300.

EMD Parts Catalog 290 covers carbody and electrical parts for locomotives with 710 engines and microprocessor controls. The companion 710 engine parts book is Catalog 303.

EMD Parts Books can also be occasionally found on eBay at reasonable prices. Generally the prices from internet book sellers are much too high and totally out of touch with the current railroad collectible paper market.

Some years ago I was given Digital Copies of a Great quantity of EMD parts books to include Cat 90s Cat 700. Cat 301, 310, 311 ,Loco Mi. , EMD Mi. and Pointers . So it appears some of the EMD parts manuals are out there. I would think this information could be uploaded so it would be available to all. I do not know how to do this. Please back channel me if someone it interested in doing this. Also I do know about copyright rules it this is allowed
