Actually, it was up on blocking at the farm not the winery. It was moved to the winery at the same time that the four Lee-Tidewater Lumber Co. and the 2-6-2T were moved.

At the farm, No.6 would be fired up for parties, etc. The driving axles rode on the driver journal boxes, very low tech. He also had an 18" gauge Crown 4-4-0 and a steam tractor which would be fired up and run in a fenced area adjacent to the house. I worked at one of the parties (great barbequed pork).

Is there any "anticipated" or "hoped for" timeline with regards to her completion? Obviously when it's done, it's done. But what is the ideal timeframe for her completion, as of now?

We would love to see her running in 2021 but with any restoration you just never know. We don't know what we're going to find she is disassembled. Work is progressing nicely with the main focus on preparing to lift the boiler off the frame.

Somewhere along the line I was told 908 was the street address of John Thompson's farm. I can't confirm this though.

Today the folks at McHugh Locomotive removed Audrey's frame from her wheels. She has not been in this many pieces since 1913 when she was built. It won't be long before repairs and restoration work can really get started.

When you are able, could you please let us know just how much the rear part of the frame had been distorted? Thank you for the continued news.
