Post subject: FEBT restoration work at EBT RR last weekend *PIC*
PostPosted: Thu Aug 14, 2003 11:25 am

I've posted some photos of restoration work performed last weekend by the Friends of the East Broad Top at the EBT RR Rockhill Furnace shops & yard.

Projects we worked on included siding and roof repairs on the Electrical Shop, tie replacement and respiking along yard track 3 and switches at south end of the yard, and glass cutting for installation in various shop buildings. Due to threatening rain, we were unable to paint the north wall of the car shop building as planned.

The next FEBT restoration weekend is scheduled for Aug. 30-31-Sept. 1 (Labor Day weekend). Hopefully the weather will be sunny and we can get the painting done, as well as complete the trackwork.

We encourage you to come out to Rockhill Furnace PA and get involved as a part of the restoration crew. There's plenty of work to go around, no matter what your skills or interests are.

My entire set of photos are at:
