OT - Hamrick VueScan Software

OT -For those who may be working with older computer scanners but have acquired a Windows 10 computer and found they no longer support the previous scanning equipment, I just wanted to mention Hamrick VueScan software. It is well suited to photo scanning, and has drivers for many of the older flatbed and slide scanners. It can allow you to keep using your old favorite equipment for a while longer, or in a museum setting, can delay the expense of acquiring new scanning equipment if transitioning to a computer with a newer operating system.

I recently made the Vuescan purchase to use with my new slide scanner (plustek 8200I) and could not be happier. Fantastic software, and it even automatically pulled up my other two scanners as well.

I can also recommend. Thanks to VueScan, I am still able to use my 1996-era Polaroid slide scanner!

Looked around for a software upgrade for my scanner, and found that VueScan would work. Purchased and installed it effortlessly, and I am 100% satisfied.

I've been using VueScan for about 10 years, it is far better than anything I have found. In addition, if you purchase the pro edition, it gives you upgrades for life.

I've also found that he is very responsive to questions/issues and updates are frequent, like 1-2 a month.
