Back in 2017 I saw the backend of the boiler getting new staybolts in the shop with a new welded barrel in a crate. I think Jason Sobczynski was the contractor. Dead silence since then.....

From what I've heard, the boiler needs replacement. They've burned bridges with quite a few contractors, Jason included.

I recall hearing the same thing but cannot confirm whether or not the boiler was shipped to Cheyenne.

I was told that Mr. Franzen was working on it recently.

It's my understanding that the contractor from Cheyenne that Shall Not Be Named muscled in on the project as revenge for the then-contractor serving as an expert witness for the people in Stearns. The original scope of work was to repair the firebox portion of the boiler and mate it to a new barrel.

When the contractor that Shall Not Be Named was finished with the firebox and ready to mate it to the new boiler barrel, the owner invited the FRA to come take a look and the firebox portion was condemned as to repairs made by the Contractor that Shall Not Be Named, and now Mr. Franzen is working on it.

Any factual info on this?

I don't like the way this thread is going. I'm locking it for now pending further review.
