Not too much I could do with this picture but it does look like something we could see again someday...

The Southern's 93-5800 isn't completely out of the running yet, though. LOL From top to bottom, WE5650, WE5770, and WE5769...

Images of the same 1974 EMD taken around the same time several decades ago and images of the same 1951 Brockway taken around the same time several decades later...

I really don't want to screw this color up for a third time so I'll keep going until I run out of suitable pictures or can't find any more to do, which ever comes first. Initially, I thought this one might turn out to be closer to the later and slightly lighter Brockway green but it's hard to tell due to the dirt... LOL

We're definitely in an area of the chip charts where the green colors will freely overlap each other in various pictures so that's my disclaimer here. It's just weird the driver's side windshield is busted out on both of these vehicles...

I'll have to look at some of those Conrail Reading green patch jobs and see what further evidence, if any, can be found there. On the Martin-Senor chart, the 1950-1961 Brockway Medium Chrome Green and GMC Morat Green are placed adjacent to one another...

So if I'm finally right about the green, that would make this Dodge truck Omaha Orange, a 1966 model at the latest. The 1967 DuPont catalog contains redundant Omaha Orange chips, 93-082 and 93-70106. On Dodge trucks of that era, the code number would be 93-75043...

I was thinking about heading back down to Strasburg today to check those cab model displays again but then it decided to start snowing. Yeah well...

This is somewhat exciting though, a 1934 Brewster-Ford convertable with its original factory Brewster Green paint. Brewster & Co. allegedly mixed the color to their own specifications so I can't say exactly which shade this may be...

Uh oh, it looks like I'm going to have to go back to the darker (Narva) green for the window band color. I guess I'll have to revisit that last chip match I did on this one to see where I got fooled. LOL

There wasn't much I could do with that first photo in the previous posting but the second one seems to work okay...

Herein lies the problem with comparing Brockway Medium Chrome and GMC Morat Greens on Conrail patch jobs. I've only found a few of the GP-30's where you can actually see a discernable difference and the original paint is usually pretty dirty. I'm sure both greens were still available for use at the time as well so it can be hard to be exactly sure which might be which.

Most of the time, Morat Green appears slightly darker and greener compared to the Brockway green but as you can see in this picture, that won't always be the case...

Morat Green does have an earthier look to it since it's mixed with oxide yellow, even more so with a nice layer of road grime. I couldn't do a chip match with this one...

The patch don't always match on the Green Machines, either, but sometimes it does... LOL
