Anyone recognize this engine?

Captioned only 1963 near Covington. Any ideas?

I think now that it is Washington & Western No. 72 (Standard Gravel Co.), a former Mobile & Ohio 4-6-0 that is now on display at Franklinton, LA. How is it doing today?

Pretty good, I think. See the link below. If you click on the Photo Album button, and scroll down to the third picture, you'll see the locomotive at Covington.

Fairly good; lots of rusted through sheet metal, but looks like it has been repainted recently. IIRC, the side rods are off, but nearby.

There was attempt to remove and restore this engine a few years ago, but the original owner who donated it to Franklinton shot it down.

There is also a steam locomotive sunk in a gravel pit in the area. It was sitting on the edge of pit awaiting repairs when it was pushed in by a string of cars.
