Hello i follow this news some time ago
Great to see 1246 back on is land

But some quote about the tender need to be answered

In this link the museum said he found the correct tender to fit 1246
https://mynorthwest.com/3881779/seattles-beloved-and-long-lost-steam-locomotive-is-heading-home/
So the question is where he find this tender??A original GN tender??
Quote:
” Anderson said. “With this deal with Oregon Coast, we were able to locate a correct tender, and we will be moving that at a separate time to reunite with the locomotive.”

The Vanderbilt tender look like really go to Utah

Today (Friday April 28th) I received an informational and funding appeal letter from Northwest Railway Museum. I am not a member; but, I have been giving the Museum money the last several years for the NP parlor car restoration project.

The letter says in part:
Quote:
Now for the complicated part: It will cost $88.000 to move the 1246 locomotive to Snoqualimie, and another $35,00 to move the tender. Due to security and storage issues, the 1246 must be immediately moved, and the work is already underway to make this happen. Please consider supporting the 1246 project by selecting the Northwest Railway Museum for GiveBIG 2023 at https://WAgives.org/.

The GiveBIG event is occurring on May 2 &3
The Museum has a page on its website about the locomotive: Great Northern Railway Locomotive 1246
This page also has a donation button.
