Thank you for the video. It is very interesting to hear Mr. Melvin's hands-on experiences. He also tells us about the mis-steps and learning experiences, which are very important to hear.

Yes, very interesting to watch and my good friend Rich Melvin can be very proud of his accomplishments behind the 765's throttle.

I can also share that the NRHS New Jersey fiasco he spoke to was so bad that it very nearly killed our chances of doing the 614 Port Jervis trips. Had we not had the strong backing of some key members of the legislature the senior mgt. at NJ Transit would have vetoed it for sure. That's how bad a taste was left in their mouths by the 1988 disaster.

The Exec. Director of NJT came up to me on the platform in Hoboken when we arrived 6 minutes ahead of schedule on the first 1996 trip and said " thank goodness your team are professionals".
