I tried to reply to the Frisco Steam question and attach a diagram.
It was too big: Supposed to be no more than 1024 pixels wide.
OK. Nothing I tried in my editing software would shrink it. First time I've never been able to make an image smaller to post.
Then, no matter what format I tried to submit it in, PNG,TIF.PDF was acceptable. What am I doing wrong, or is there a glitch with attaching an image?
Down to my last nerve.

I'm not a moderator but I suggest using Irfanview to resize your image if you can't get whatever editor you are using to do it.

I must resize almost every photo I post. In windows, click on the file to open it, at the top of the image, along with a heart, a printer etc. are three dots that say "see more" when you hover over them, click on that, choose resize, resize the largest dimension to 999 (the other dimension should resize automatically), save it under a new file name (I just add b to the original file name). Should be good to go.

If the image is a scanned blueprint, it may not render with sufficient resolution to be easily readable if downsized to fit a typical 'forum' size of this one's antiquity.

What I usually did in these cases was to save the file on a photo site and post a link to download it from there, or save to a service like Dropbox and post a link and secure credentials here, or by e-mail 'on request'

If you click on it a larger, clearer version will appear.

The message board platform is older and will not support some larger photos. I'm not sure of the cutoff. Providing a link to a file stored elsewhere is the best way to share a larger photo.

Maybe it won't work out. But maybe seeing if it does will be the best adventure ever.
