Thank you for the detailed update.
I still have nightmares about warm (or hot) bearings after all these years.

#16 operated the full schedule of the FEBT Reunion this past weekend with no reported issues. This included at least one loaded run to Jordan Summit. M-7 waited patiently on the turntable lead for a call that did not come. Yeah, I'd say she is back.

One of my friends posted an outstanding video of 16 on the 2:30 Saturday run at the fill.

Looked great and 100%. Saturday was a "10" weatherwise north of I-80 in PA.

The only surprise was that the train did not appear packed, and in fall foliage season that's unusual, every line up in this region was sold out.

Randy,

All trains this Saturday were sold-out, in fact, the EBT Foundation broke our ridership record this weekend with over 1,700 passengers on the PEANTUS™ trains alone. In total, we carried approx. 2,100 passengers this Fri/Sat/Sun.

During our PEANUTS™ event, all passengers are required to disembark at Colgate GRove for a 1.5 hour layover. For this reason, we run four revenue trains and one "cleanup" departure, a total of five trains per day.

What you likely saw on Saturday was a train car that we intentionally left empty on the 2:30pm departure. This allowed us to put a contracted bus group on the 4:00pm "cleanup" train that otherwise goes out empty. If the video shows the 2:30 departure... you'll see an empty car. If the video shows the 4:00pm cleanup train... it will show an entirely empty train minus one car. I should also note that we added our "cinder car" to each departure for overflow/walk-up capacity. This car was full on two out of the four trips.

Running a tourist railroad is just one giant jigsaw puzzle... all the pieces fit together somehow.

Johnathan, Hearty congratulations to you and the whole EBT team. Very glad you've gotten steam back as it is such an integral part of the whole EBT story.

Just imagine the numbers you'll carry on a weekend when all 6 steamers are under steam and there are multiple departures the full length of the railroad and the shop complex at Rockhill is in full operation. My guess is at that point you'll match Strasburg's numbers??

Onward & Upward. Ross Rowland
