 Post subject: What is an RSX4?

The following appears on the website of a prominent rail equip dealer. What kind of unit is and RSX? Inquiring minds want know.

Builder: Alco/GE*Built: 1952 *Type: RSX4*H.P.: 1600 Bearings: Roller, Operable and ready for interchange. (NOTE: The owner stated that UP will accept this unit for interchange and delivery on the UP system This had been stored serviceable by the U.S. Army until it was sold to it's current owner several years ago. The unit only had 200 miles on it when sold. $95,000

NOTE: This unit is receiving roller bearings!

Seems to be basically an MRS1 that Alco built as a subcontractor for GE. THey were branded as GE products.
