Slightly off topic, sorry, but I seem to have exhausted all other avenues. A few years ago, I saw a photo in (I think) Model Railroader of a model of a UP rotary snowplow that was highly detailed. This was a rebuilt Athearn model of the Lima rotary that is now at Illinois Railway Museum, formerly at Kansas City, and I think the modeler was from Kansas City.

I can't seem to find the photo in my 50+ year magazine collection, nor find it listed in Kalmbach's Model Train Index. I think it may have been on an award page of some kind. Can anyone help me find the issue?

Allow me to elaborate from memory, a C&O style tender was used (as per the prototype, EX C&O 2-8-8-2s UP aquired during the war, only to scrap them in 1946, with the tenders being reused behind 2-10-2s and for MoW duties), only model ones i'm aware of were made by Rivarossi.Body and tender were painted silver with the blade and housing painted a bright red (scarlet?) agree this was detailed to the nines. Seem to recall that the metal walkways were built up using various metal etchings (detail associates? and scatchbuilding?).
