When that happens they'll just start importing: GI 2-8-0s and African and plantation narrow gauge to start (precedents already exist...)

While in Arkansas this summer the owner of the Dardanelle & Russelville Railroad graciously gave me a tour of his line and took me back to the enginehouse to see the little 2-6-2 they have. The engine was previously leased to a tourist railroad at Mt. Dora, Florida, and also went to Mississippi for a movie job. The advantage of a small engine was pointed out to me; it was easy to load on a flat car and could be shipped anywhere with no clearance restrictions.

Buddy Bob is busy in PA right now, sharpening his numerous skills on another steam project. We expect to start the project with Bob's lifetime, and to have him quite involved When 1246 is ready to into the Thomaston Shop, we'll make sure to have a locker just for BB himself! And, running water (HOT!), so you can clean up and go eat at the end of the day. Such a deal, eh Buddy Bob???

Yes, BB, we'll keep you in Krispy Kremes (although I think they are rather over-rated!). Just wear your groovy safety orange shoes!!
