Wondering if you would be willing to write up something about railroad preservation and steam in Scandanavia? I am sure Hume would be interested in a brief. We don't hear much about what is going on in that part of the world. There was a gent importing the Swedish reserve steam fleet a few years back who occasionaly posts here.

Thanks for your interest, if I had time I could have written alot after my last contact with Hume. But since Iam reparing the 271 nearly alone it have to waite like many other things. The Norwegian railroad are 150 years i september 2004 so there isnt much time left.
Take a look on this website - there are some english text that will give an tiny little insigt in what we do and who we are. If you surfe thruogh the part of the website texted in Norwegian you will see more pictures and more updated news. Any of you speak/write or read Norwegian?

Thank you Ragnar - your English is much better than my Norwegian. My wife spoke Norwegian as a child in North Dakota having lived with her grandmother for a few formative years, but she no longer speaks it.

I don't know if Aarne is Norwegian or Swedish, but I bet he understands most of it.

Well...I cant promise you an article produced just by myself - I will see if I can get some more of our staff in the research dept. interested. I am shure they know a lot more about the Sept. 2004 ( and of course the history since Sept. 1854!) than I do. What I can do is to make some smaller things around some pictures from different sides of our activities. Erik Ledbetter probbably know about a place to download the pictures to or..??
