Recently seen on a truck in Minnesota. The Byron RR was a two foot gauge backyard operation in Iowa that created its locomotives using the unfinished chassis' of Davenport 2-6-2T WWI light railway engines. I think both have been in Washington State in recent years. Unclear where it was headed.

Is that the actual number plate off of CB&Q 2968 adorning the front of the smokebox of this little beauty? Why else would it be so large?

I had heard from a knowledgeable source that the boilers had been sold by Davenport to a creamery and the chassis's sat around the factory until purchased for the Bryon RR. He supposedly bought the used but original boilers from the creamery and reunited them with the chassis's.
