This is the first time I've seen this engine since it left PA. Sure looks better in the photo than it did back then.

The photo shows a smaller tender.

Did the WNYRHS get the "coast-to-coast" tender that was at Hagerstown (former Pennsy engine terminal) ??

If not, where is that tender today ?

Wilmington & Western ?

Steve,

The big tender did leave W&W somewhere around 1985 when we were getting rid of a lot of stuff we would never need. I know this for sure because I was the one who prepared it for movement and checked it over with the Chessie car knocker at Wilsmere Yard.

Yes, the WNYRHS did acquire this tender. I forget whether its of the 6 axle or 8 axle flavor. The tender, I believe it to be still sitting in North Collins, NY with some other misc. equipment.

Yes, and it's a much smaller one than the eight-axle monster that was formerly used to store fuel oil at Hagerstown. Once used on a Conrail wreck train (Elkhart, IIRC), it's a PRR 90F82 class tender, of the type that most I1s carried before the coming of larger tenders about 1940.
