Very interesting story of a woman who went to prison in 1889 for hanging her laundry across the Santa Fe tracks as a protest against the noise and dirt from the trains. Apparently, in the manner of the day, the RR just took her land and built on it. She died while in jail. Scroll down on the Altamost Press page below.
