After reading the post on Chama shop updates, and following some of the links, I came up with this page

Good to see that there is actual meat left in the firebox side sheets, but that scale must have had a tremendous insulating capacity which can be a dangerous thing.

The above linked C&TS page should be viewed by all wide-eyed "let's make it run" types before they begin dismantling ol' No. 99 down in the park. Doing so is not impossible, but it takes a lot of skill, tools and money, as ably shown on that webpage.
