Just offhand, without seeing the episode, I would wager from you description that the unit is from the Filmore & Western Railroad in California, which specializes movie work.

You might have seen some commercials for the movie "Torque" in which a couple idiots have a motorcycle chase on top of a train, I'm pretty sure this is shot at the F&W as well.

As owner of former CB&Q SILVER VIEW I'd appreciate color close photo of mural which was on bulkhead in front parlor section. It showed map of Twin Zephyrs' route. Willing to buy at resaonble cost.
Also would be interested in any 1950's Twin Zephyr photos especially with SILVER VIEW.
Would be interested in any investor to help restore and activate SILVER VIEW. This would be on a 'loan-style' basis with good % return on loan.
