They're making some real impressive progress rebuilding this two-foot line in the UK. Worth a lengthy look.

I believe this loco was the last ALCO DL109 operating in the US and did so until the late 60's. Since all the pictures on the net of this engine are 30+ years old, I assume it was scrapped?

When did the last "genuine" 109 operate and meet the torch?
