Some information has been posted on the interchange about me, my company "Monorails International" and the new "Oregon State Railroad Museum"; and the Perrydale Depot.

First I have NO Roseburg Monorail project. I live in Roseburg and have a branch office of my Monorail Consulting business in Roseburg. I would like to know these Monorail plans. I have said I hope the museum can someday get a used monorail for it's operation, wherever we put the museum; but have no intentions of building any monorail system in Roseburg or it's area.

Next. We have the money to rent a truck to move the Perrydale depot; but we would like one's use donated to save $'s. If we don't move it, it will be bulldozed this summer. Is that what these guys want to see. We'll find a location for it; but saving it is our number one concern.

The people that are now involved in the museum, are looking at several potential museum sites. All of which do not interchange with the UP on purpose; as they are excursion unfriendly. Look at the 4449... It can't even steam on the UP.

These guys say they are railfans, but instead of helping, criticize anyone wanting to save things.

They don't know me, or what plans we have, or anything, yet they can try and discredit someone trying to do something good.

My initial reaction below is only bolstered by this response. Too bad the Perrydale depot is headed this way. Perhaps it can be rescued when this "all hat and no cattle" group goes under.

Let's let this go where it stands. Mr. Kirk's proposed organization has been subjected to some searching questions, and Mr. Kirk has had his say in answering. Anyone who wishes can continue to discuss the matter with Mr. Kirk back-channel.
