Uses of OHCR 1000 and 1001?

Was wondering if Ohio Central uses F7As 1000 and 1001?

Was getting my daily does of railpictures.net yesterday and there was a picture of both units laying over with a passenger consist within the past week or 2. Caption also noted they had been used in freight service.

The caption would have to be wrong, the 1000 & 1001 have not been out in active service for well over a year. Since the arrival of the FP9's (6307 & 6313) the F7's have been sitting. I can't think of the last time they were used for freight or passenger.

In mid-October 2003, the 1000 and 1001, along with two B units, were assembled into an ABBA consist and run at Morgan Run Shops for a prospective buyer "from somewhere in New York state". Did they sell? Does OHCR still have them for sale?

The A's and B's are all still here, I don't know all the details of what is or is not for sale. That would have to be found out by contacting the main office and they would let you know who to talk to for the information. As for the 1077, I can't remember the last time it was out, it did have the prime mover replaced and had been in use after that. As far as I would know I think the 1077 is stored serviceable just not being used right now. I will do some checking and try to post more on that soon.
