Would you please let the administration of the B&M Society know that Mike Gianetta suffered a small stroke last week. He is recovering and undergoing therapy but still faces surgery to open a 90% blocked carotid artery. Mike has been the driving force behind the 3713 project and very much appreciates the financial and technical assistance the B&M Society has provided.

It should also be mnoted that Mike, who I've had the pleasure of knowing for years, was an early driving force in the Steamtown USA years. He was involved with raising community support for the move to Scranton, was instrumental in purchasing/moving DL&W 565 to Scranton and saving the Mattes Street tower from demolition.

I'm crossing my fingers that Mike will recover quickly. His energy will surley inspire others during his absense.
