Hello everyone,

The "VIP" upper-level trackside viewing area tickets for the 4th of July at Horseshoe Curve have sold out. I want to encourage anyone who was thinking about attending to still consider the visitor center level tickets. Unlike the 1954 photo, this event is not about being able to see the train. The train will simply be 10 3-packs of deep-well flat-cars (with a surprise in the center of the consist). The show will be the lights that the train will be carrying and the effect will still be something worth seeing from the visitor center lower level. There will be train-based lighting and land based lighting and don't forget the 30 minute fireworks show from the breast of the reservoir from the most famous fireworks company on the planet - Zambelli Fireworks Internationale. Contact the Museum at 1-888-4Altoona for tickets. I hope to see everyone there on July 4th and dont forget all the other events during the month of June including the appearance of the NS Exhibit Car on June 11, 12 and 13 in the Museum yard.

Scott: I have one of the original prints Sylvania ditributed of the event in 1954. My dad distributed Sylvania products back then & he was given one. Wooly
