Colonie shop gone

From the D&H list, sounds like the main shop building at Colonie Shops (Watervliet, NY) is all down now. While this shop did not actually build locomotives from the ground up, the rebuilds amounted to jacking up the bell and running a new engine underneath. After 1953, it was an all-Alco
diesel repair facility. Here's what one visitor found today:

Sorry, forgot to add the text of what was on the list. Here it is:

Yesterday, Friday, At lunch time I swung past the Colonie Shops site.
The building is all down now. Just piles of bricks, wood, and metal now.

This main building had overhead cranes that could pick up a Challenger.

No big deal. Takes two minutes to join and you can specify "no e-mail" if you aren't interested in which SD40s pulled train 250 today.
