Like most on this board I shoot color slides. However, I like to on occasion see the photos I have taken without handling the slides. So I have begun a campaign to send my slides to a professional developer and have 4x6 glossy prints made. They look great and at only 29 cent per print its not bad.

I store the prints in Avery brand archival-safe, acid-free plastic pages that don’t cost a lot and can be found at places like Office Max. Each page holds 2 4x6 prints. Since the pages are clear, I insert 4 prints to a page so I can save on space and when I flip a page I can look at 4 photos at once. The pages are stored in a heavy-duty 1 ½ inch ring binder. I have about 200 photos in one binger.

I have searched the Internet far and wide and have found no one that does this. I would like to know what others think about this and also about my storage system. Is Avery a good brand and should I put 2 prints back-to-back per sleeve? Also how about 200 photos in one binger or is that too many? Bell mentioned 10 per folder and lay them flat. But what of a binder?

Sill searching the Internet.

Andy

PS: Do you really need cotton gloves? I have been using plastic disposable gloves.
