On Monday NWS was calling for flooding on the Red Clay. How did it go?

There must be an error with your computer. The W&W folks have made a very nice web page on the #98 and its restoration to keep the public informed with lots of photos. Remember the RR is volunteer, and they do a pretty darn good job with it. Hopefully it will be in revenue service soon. Congrats to the W&W crew and keep up the good work!

Tom Gears and I checked online water gauges for Red Clay Creek; the flooding was obvious on the charts but apparently was still only bank-full as opposed to washing out bridges again. And not to be cynical and sarcastic, but there really isn't that much more left to wash out......

Uh, no Mr. Kelley, there is nothing wrong with my computer. I tried your link and I get a dark blue screen like I did before. I know the W&W webmaster said once before that some of their volunteers voiced concerns about the same thing happening. I hope they get the page fixed because I would like to see those 98 pix.

Works fine for me. But, everything on the page outside of the body tags (which pull up the blue background) is written in JavaScript.

It sounds like some browsers are haveing trouble with the script. I don't know much about the language; but it doesn't appear to need cookies enabled in order to work.

What browser are you using, Steve?

I also had no problems getting to the photos. I checked using both Netscape 6.1 and IE 6.0. I do see a quick flash of blue just before the pages display, but I am on DSL and it's hardly noticable.

I have found that same problem (blue screen, nothing else) when using my MAC laptop, but not my regular Home PC.

The blue you're seeing is the background to the page (all other graphics load on top of this background). Try waiting a little longer for the page to load. Pages we update frequently are programmed to load the page from our server (rather than your computer's cache)--this allows you to always see the most up-to-date info and this process takes some time, particularly with the number of thumbnails on this page, and especially if you're using a dial-up connection.
