Welcome everybody!

Reply to this topic to practice using the new board. Let's keep practice posts without serious content in this thread.

Thanks,

Erik

And a test of the new moderator's ablity to edit.

No worries mates! We'll all get the hang of it in no time, and it should keep some of those weird post with thier adverts at bay to make the moderator's life a bit easier. Well done!!

Looks like the new arrangement will be pretty cool. No problems registering, logging in, or posting.

Keeping my posts without serious content is very easy!

One question! Is there a way to have a reply automatically insert the thread subject?

Test message to see if I (electronically challenged as I am) can post to the new board.

Sure--just use the "Quote" button instead of the Reply button to respond to a post. The subject line will automatically populate (see the subject of this post--that was written automatically for me when I hit quote) and you can keep as much or as little of the original text you are commenting on when you reply.

Erik,

This thread took forever to load on my dial up connection. Is this going to be a problem? I'd hate to see RYPN turn out to be even slower than the infamous "Goat!"

I don't see why it should--any thread has almost only a handful of tiny button images in it, and those should go into your cache once you load them the first time. Other than that it's just text.

Let us know if all the threads are slow for you after you've tried it for a while (discounting for posts like my Lynchburg Kanawah post that include images).[/code]
