Amazingly, it was stored for 25 years at the Shcherbinka test facility :

It was finally scrapped in 1960.

It is a shame it was not preserved in a museum; if for no other reason than to capture an attempt to one-up the rest of the world that failed. Of course, moving to a museum site would have been a challenge....
