The remains of the Rutledge climax were not "lost". Locals in the
No. Idaho and Spokane area are well aware of it's existance!

The town I think you are refering to is Burke Idaho, just north of
Wallace. Not much remains to be able to place where the photos
were taken. Heavy snowfall aparently has caved in what few buildings
remain aside from the mine facilities. The mine is closed, although
I don't remember how long.

The NP branch is gone, and the UP branch to the silver valley is now
a bike path. There are no tracks to the silver valley at this point, and
no remaining right of way.

If you are in the area, be sure to check out the NP depot in Wallace.
The locals moved the brick depot to prevent destruction when the
freeway came through a few years ago.
