Erik,

The link did not work.

As far as I know this is the only report we have received that the link to the new site didn't work. Assume it was a temporary anomaly.

Although the response to the new format has been overwhelmingly favorable we need more people to go over there and try it out. We had to make some changes to the format and code to have it set up the way we wanted and it needs to be thoroughly debugged before we switch.

Thanks.

Hi Hume,

All systems working just fine from this terminal.

Just my personal opinion, I like the recent changes to the RyPN format over the old (and new Beta test). Just my 2 cents, I'll stop in every day no matter how you format it - great website, very informative and a wonderful resource and network for those of us in RR Preservation.

Thanks for all your hard work and the work of all the other moderators, editors and admins on the Forum. Thank you!

On my PC at work, using Mozilla, the text was turquois. On my iBook at home, using Mozilla, the text is red. Apparently the color map is different. Perhaps Windows is claiming more colors than the Mac OS.

Having grown accustomed to it, I vastly prefer the new, flat interchange. Seeing all the posts in a thread, without clicking, is great. The ability to post replies in the middle of the reponses, as on the old interchange could be very confusing. With the login, I can use any computer at home or work, and still distinguish the new messages since I last looked.

I'd recommend using a tabbed browser, like Mozilla, and command or ctrl clickng on the topic links to display topics in a second tab. Command-W or ctrl-W immediately returns you to the topic list.

i changed the text from turpuois to red

illustrating the ability for registered users to make changes to their posts after posting.

If you like the current layout (as I do) no problem, on the new layout you can have both, threaded and flat.

it really shouldn't be any different over there when we make the switch.
