Here's a link to a great photo of SR 2-8-0 722, date unknown but it's an oldie. Photo is in the University of Louisville archives.

The headlight lense is interesting. Was this type of lense unique to the SR? I suspect the shape of the reflector and lense was to focus the available light down the center of the right-of-way.

Thanks for bringing this incredible collection to our attention. This photographer documented some interesting things on the Queen & Crescent Route circa 1915. The incredible pictures of period depots, cars, construction, tunnels, bridges, locomotives...it is all just amazing. I have spent hours pouring over it since discovering it the other night. The track inspection car is just amazing...an early version of the Buena Vista. There are also some nice images in the glass plate collection by the same photographer. They need to put into a book form so everybody can enjoy them.
One word of caution: the person who catalouged these photos did not know what they were looking at. That is clearly the Harriman, Tennessee Depot on the Q&C...not the Marriman, Kentucky depot on the B&O and CS is NOT the Chessie and Seaboard. Look in the lower corner of most photos for the photographers description. Also the depot signs have the mileposts numbers to one side.

Y'all sure that's Southern Ry #722? I believe it may actually be CNO&TP Ry #722 which ended up being Southern Ry #6202 .

You may be onto something here. I was wondering when SR 722 may have been assigned to the CNO&TP as indicated by the smoke deflector on the stack. I did not know enough about Southern steam to even consider the CNO&TP may have had a similar consolidation that was also numbered 722. The Baldwin builders plate made me assume it was SR 722. How similar would these engines have been?

As built they were very similar. SR 722 was built in 1904. CNO&TP 722 came along 3 years later in 1907 and was renumbered to SR 6202 in 1917.
