The American leg of the Canadian Pacific Holiday Train begins on thursday, Dec 2, at Steamtown NHS in Scranton, PA. The music program section begins at 4:00, and the train heads to Binghamton, NY and beyond beginning at 5:00. This marks the third consecutive year for start-up in Scranton, and it is always a good program.
Steamtown's Canadian Pacific steam loco 2317 will be decorated in lights that night also, for a 5:00 and 6:30 run to the North Pole, as part of the "Slocum Hollow's Christmas Magic" program. While the time of night might not be great for photography, the two holiday spectacles will certainly get you in the spirit.
