Hi, all. The Railroad Museum of Pennsylvania is currently producing a historical documentary on the history of the Pennsylvania Railroad's Low Grade line (aka the Atglen & Susquehanna branch) which ran through Lancaster and Chester Counties from about 1906 through the 1990s. We are seeking any private color or balck and white film footage of 8mm, super 8mm or 16mm (as well as VHS) of trains operating on this line during the 40s through the early 90s. Thus far I am having a bear of a time finding any film of trains operating on this line, as it was hard to photograph, largely neglected by the local railfans and somewhat out-of-sight, out-of-mind. If any Rypn members have footage they could make available for the project or know of anybody who owns such footage, please contact me offline at kubell@state.pa.us. I would be most grateful and happy to hear from you. We are willing to give you credit in the program and a complimentary copy of the program in return for your services. We will return your films following duplication by our production team.

Thank you,
Kurt Bell, Archivist

Hi Kurt,
I thought the A&S branch was taken out of services in the late 1980`s.
Also do you just want the A&S ? I`m asking that because I have video of Safe Harbor with trains on the Port Road branch.

Len.

Kurt:
Do you want just the A&S Branch, or does this include Enola -Cly-"COLA" and the P&T + Trenton Branches also?

Hi Phil,
Yes the A&S branch is our primary focus for the program. If you have some concrete leads on films, by all means, please contact me offline at kubell@state.pa.us. I'd be interested in talking with you.
Thank you,
