Maybe it won't work out. But maybe seeing if it does will be the best adventure ever.

Just as a follow up, I am still looking for plates to fill gaps in my personal collection. I can also research plates for other collectors and I am always looking to get plates back to their original owners. I also presently have a few plates available for trade. This includes plates from the WP, NP, PRR, L&N, and other roads. Please email me and I will send you a current copy of our list. Ron Muldowney - steamfan@patmedia.net

There are usually a nice selection of locomotive plates on eBay, and usually, all legitimately acquired. What slays me are the plates from Diesels, obviously still in service, and therefore, more than likely acquired from "Midnight Railroad Artifacts, Inc."

I don't watch builders plates on Ebay that much, but did notice one of the
plates this fellow just sold was claimed to be off of Great Northern F-8
2-8-0 #1147, which happens to be on display in Wenatchee, Washington.
I would have to beleive that the plate was stolen, but still brought
over $2600.

I saw that particular auction was pulled from the completed
listings. Perhaps someone else noticed?
