and what are the plans? What condition were they really in? Were the re-engined?

See "doowoppie's" (possessive) post under "Surplus Sale" (singular of multiple items) on March 2. An earlier post here on RyPn's (possessive) Interchange several weeks (plural) ago announced the government's (possessive) sale (again, singular of multiple items) through a surplus contractor.

Seriously I too wonder who purchased the Baldwin locomotives and the old GE switcher.
Maybe someone who who caught the sale posted here on RyPN.

Actually I would rather like to know the future status of #22, which is one of a small number of Fairmont Railbusses left, I only know of 2 others; MEC 10/100 at Ct Eastern RR Museum, in Willimantic, Ct, and B&M 500 at The Seashore Trolley Museum in Kennybunkport (sp), Maine. With this one being the version prior to either of the others which are sisters.
