This from Ken Middlebrook of the California RR & Trolley Corp., regarding the SP water tank that stood until recently near the Diridon station in San Jose, California:

FYI. A foundation has been recently poured for reinstallation of the Diridon
water tank. The tank and support structure have been stored for the past
two years in a nearby maintenance yard. The new site will be about 1 block
south of its original location adjacent to the north side of the Park Avenue
under crossing. Ironically, our potential museum site is on the opposite
side of the tracks and on the south side of the Park Avenue under crossing.

Nonetheless, it is refreshing to know that this particular railroad landmark
will be rebuilt within is historic depot locale.
