Duff Norton air jacks

Just got a pair of 50 ton jacks in used but working condition. Anybody out there have a manual on them can send a copy? They are skimpy on oil now and I want to make sure I keep them up properly.

The duff-norton pneumatic screw jacks take grease and not oil. Look for Duff-Norton on the web and from there you can find a local dealer. The parts, gaskets and manuals are available.

Dave, I spent several years in industrial supplies, and sold some Duff-Norton equipment. My former employer is now out of business, but the major industrial chains like Motion Industries or Applied Industrial can probably order the parts for you. Definitely shop, though, as most retailers have quite a bit of leeway in pricing.

Thanks guys, I had poured a cup or so of heavy gear oil into the gear cases and then run them up and down light - worked fine, but want to keep them that way. Will try to get a book direct.

And may I add that they get stiff as can be when trying to use them outside in subzero weather. We had two out of three working, but we had to start a fire under them to warm them up first. The third one waited for warmer weather. John.

Thanks John - in Alabama shouldn't be a problem. Air consumption another issue - jack two inches, wait for the compressor to catch up.
