The wife of a member of our organization (Chemung Valley RHS) whose husband passed away recently contacted me about a surplus piece of rail equipment that her husband had been trying to sell. The car in question is a 40 ft insulated box car that he had purchased several years ago. The car is NADX 759, this car is beleieved to have been built in the 40's and has been used as a tool car and had a office in it at one time. It is sitting in the Sayre, PA yard near GE Capital Railcar Repair. The doors have been changed so it can be used just like a building on wheels, or could be used without wheels. I'm told this car can be moved under Rule 90. The original asking price was $3,000, but price is likely negotiable.
