OK, we have the database backed up and can restore it up until the hour before it was deleted. We are going to do this but not before we figure out how to improve our security and are certain we have a reliable means to back up the entire database. Part of this process may entail switching to a newer version of PHPBB.So, it may be a few days until we get it all worked out.In the meantime we'll leave the Interchange up and running as is. We will make every attempt to preserve posts made between now and when the restore is made. We'll post updates as developments warrant.

Good news, Hume. Thanks for the hard work you put in overnight and very early this morning investigating our options.

It isn't as if you guys don't have real jobs and lives - thanks again for your level of dedication. I recall some thread now lost that focused on how superior this board was to others filled with foaming altercations - reckon somebody got angry enough to hack in?This might be a good time to remind everybody that there is a mechanism to send donations to help support this board - and it would be a fine thing to do so.Dave
