Some views of the rail display at the former Florida East Coast station, with former Brooklyn Eastern District Terminal 0-6-0T 12, a long way from the Brooklyn waterfront:http://photos.railfanzone.com/thumbnails.php?album=36

The 0-6-0T #12 on display at Boca Raton is not from either BEDT or FEC. How does such fiction get spread? It is BLW 61559 11/30, originally American Bridge Div. of USS 12 at Ambridge, PA, resold '43 via BR&L to Duquesne Slag Products 69 at Pittsburgh, PA. Donated '64 to predecessor of Pennsylvania Trolley Museum, Washington, PA. Sold in 3/87 to the developer of the Boca Raton shopping center. Now would everyone who spread the previous fiction now report the correct data via the same channels? Thank you.Dave HamleyPresident, PA. Trolley Museum

Well, if anyone shows up there with a 14" diameter round brass number plate with a "12" on it in an odd font, it might belong to the real BEDT 12, which is at Parrish, FL at the Florida Gulf Coast RR Museum. Someone stole the BEDT 12 number plate about a year ago. So far, it hasn't sufaced. We would sure like to get it back.-Jim HerronFGCRRM

BEDT #12 is a Porter side tanker, and damn fine example, too! I always thought it was the prototype for the Tyco HO scale 0-6-0. She's an oil burner and should really be considered for future restoration to small scale operation.
