Somehow I do not see that price as being market driven. There has to be a story behind it. I may be about to capitalize an entire shortline for a fraction of that and I already have a cabin for it!!GME

HmmmWonder if he is out to make a profit..... Also you notice shipping is not included so the winner has to Pay for shipping too. It does have Roller Bearings though which is a plus. Wonder if the Brakes are up to Specs too?now if I could only get 3 million people to give me a Dollar each....I sure wouldnt pay 2 million of it for that Caboose that is for sure.last Question...Will he Scrap it if it doesnt sell?Doowoppie

I believe we may have one or two mutual acquaintances from the old days. In fact I think that you may be the owner of some of the equipment that my Grandson, Son-in-law, and new Grandson-in-law looked at in South Jersey last weekend and that the firm has consulted you professionally on one or two occasionsBe that as it may, if I am right, the RS1 you are referring to is ex-Washington Union and may well have handled, in fact almost certainly did handle, some of the cars from that train on some occasion, though not necessarily on that day. The same can probably be said for its relationship to the Eisenhower funeral train. If it was mine and somebody offered me half of a million dollars for it I would be asking him whether he wanted it delivered at the front door or the back door. RegardsGME
