Is this Geep gutted? Who owns her or is charged with her maintanence? At least it's a cookie-cutter Diesel on display, not an invaluable K4s!

This Geep is complete. Only those electronics that would allow it to be started were removed when it was placed on display. The Railroaders Memorial Museum owns the locomotive as, contrary to what many think, we operate the facility at Horseshoe Curve - not the National Park Service. As if on cue given the discussion here and on other boards about the current condition of the locomotive, I was approached by an individual about 2 weeks ago who asked if he could take on the cosmetic restoration of the locomotive as a volunteer. Of course our answer was yes. I am sure that he would love to have any help that anyone can offer. He was to start this past Saturday but as of Sunday night, I had not been to the Curve to see if that took place.
