Could this be the first preserved locomotive Chessie repaint? Or perhaps was the B&O museum first?Still would like to see a PC unit at RRMPA.Joshua

Tom, Why not contact the Potomac Eagle directly and ask for details. Dave Corbett and Dan Snyder, the managing partners of the Eagle, are two of the nicest guys in the tourist RR industry. Dave is a former CSX engineer, and Dan is still an active CSX engineer.

The engine really looks sharp, besides the geep the Potomac Eagle has a pair of F's and another GP9 in B&O. What's real interesting is that (from what I've seen) that the GP's have been used in fright service over the branch by the South Branch Valley Railroad, who them selves have a interesting roster which includes a few chop nose GP9's as well as a pair of SD9's all, except one are in a attractive B&O like paint scheme with blue and yellow.-Justin Franz

Well, I think they probably posed the engine, put some remote flashes around and then asked the young lady to stand on the locomotive and do her best "Railroad Magazine 1972" pose. Oh, where are ya', Mr. Hubbard?Rob

Is anyone really complaining????? As one who never liked the "Chessie System" image, the young lady is the best part of the photo.

This is pretty low priority information for me. I would rather ask the question on a board like this where there is a chance that somebody both has the information and the time to share it than to ask them directly where they may have their hands full with other things. The contact info is good to have, though and may come in handy in the future.Tom Cornillie
