The United Railroad Historical Society, the group that represents most (but not all) of the New Jersey based railroad historical groups, has apparently decided to distribute the equipment not currently restored to its member groups. The pieces currently restored and leased out for operation are not included. My source did not elaborate on which pieces are involved and how the distribution will be done. This action is coming after the town of Phillipsburg has decided to promote residential development on the land that had been earmarked for a state museum.
