Bob,I had a second cousin who fired her sister number 550. His name was Howard Siebenborn. He lost an arm working one night at the coal mixing facility in Havana, Ill.This engine would look so nice running down her home road again. I know that it would probably be impossible but it is the last steam engine from that road.Nice to see the paint and the stack cap.JD Johnson, Morehead and North Fork Railroad Historian

Actually, the locomotive is in the process of being repainted as we speak. It started last spring, before I went home to Kentucky for the summer, but they patched some rusted metal in the tender and have repainted the locomotive. Last weekend, it appeared that all that remained was the cab roof and the bell reinstalled.
