 Post subject: Virginian Station in Roanoke VA

Hi,Here is a link that is interesting. No, not the BNSF and NS power in the front but if you look closely at what is in the background you will notice a construction fence around the Virginian Station. Does this mean that Restoration is soon to begin on it? Maybe Gary Gray can chime in here with a comment on it. Andrew, You missed the "No Steam" one. I really am not sure of the timetable on the roof replacement (first step in the restoration process). I know that the funding was in the recent transportation bill, but when the check is received is another question. Ken Miller, the current Chapter president, worked on the Shenandoah Valley trips yesterday, but we didn't discuss the station project.
